Jermaine Markese Jackson has been arrested and booked into the Burke County Detention Center on the following Charges:

• Felony Armed Robbery
• Felony Possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer
• Felony Possession of firearm during the commission of a crime
• Felony Kidnapping x 2
• Felony Aggravated Assault x 2

"We are extremely happy that the 2 victims were uninjured last night and that together with our partners we were able to solve this case quickly and affect and arrest.  Sardis Officers, Burke County Deputies along with eight (8) off duty BCSO Deputies who left their homes and reported for duty to help bring this case to a quick resolution are to be commended for the dedication to serving and protecting.  As we have said since Sheriff Williams took office in 2017, we will not tolerate violent crimes in Burke County and will use all available charges, including federal charges when applicable to reduce crimes within our area." stated Chief Deputy Lewis Blanchard.
